tomentum is the third EP by metrosideros, referring to the underside of leaves of some of the most magnificent trees in our area - what seems fine, velvety, grey and soft is an adaptation to storms, salt-laden winds, and parching summers. This suite of songs also has paradoxical elements: a love song about doubt, an anxious reverie on a bullet train in Japan, a composer of beautiful works lost in a swamp, a fusion of ancient Eastern sounds with avant-garde beats and technology.

tomentum is released in parallel with Shore Dive Records, Brighton, UK. Please support independent artists and have a wander around the Shore Dive bandcamp pages too. There are a very limited number of CDs available, exclusively from Shore Dive.
